Brandon Township will hold a PUBLIC HEARING meeting on October 18, 2010 within their regular scheduled meeting at 7:30p.m. at the Township Offices, 395 Mill St., Ortonville, Mi. 48462.

FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING PUBLIC COMMENT REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, DUST CONTROL AND SNOW REMOVAL FOR THE PRIVATE ROAD OF LEGAULT AND FOR THE HEARING OF ANY OBJECTIONS TO THE PLAN AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SAID SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT.
The District within which the foregoing road services are proposed and within which the cost thereof is proposed to be assessed consists of the lands are specifically identified by the following permanent parcel numbers:

The plans, cost estimates and a map of the proposed district are on file with the Clerk of Brandon Township for public examination, along with a description of the proposed Special Assessment District.
Redeterminations of costs for the project may be made without further notice to record owners or parties in interest in the property. An appearance and protest at the hearing in the special assessment proceedings is required in order to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the state tax tribunal. An owner or party in interest, or his or her agent may appear in person at the hearing to protest the special assessment, or shall be permitted to file his or her appearance or protest by letter and his or her personal appearance shall not be required. This meeting is open to all members of the public under Michigan's Open Meetings Act.
