Gingerbread house

From 4-5 p.m., Nov. 22, the Brandon Township Library, 304 South St., will host a gingerbread house decorating class

Youth in grades 5 and 6 will decorate a gingerbread house made out of milk cartons and graham crackers. All materials are provided. Space is limited and registration is required. Call 248-627-1461, or register online at www.brandonlibrary.org.

La Leche League

At 7 p.m. , Nov. 23, at the Ortonville United Methodist Church, 93 North Church St., La Leche League of North Oakland County is hosting a free meeting for mothers and expectant mothers called "Breastfeeding: Myths and Facts." Santa gifts shop

From 5-8 p.m., Dec. 2 the Goodrich United Methodist Church, 8071 South State Road, Goodrich will host a Santa's gift shop. Vendors and crafters will have gift items, gift wrapping, kids make your own Christmas gifts at "The Kids Kraft Korner," chili dinner and bake sale. Free admission, vendors/crafters wanted. Christmas Memories

At 6 p.m., Dec. 5, Goodrich United Methodist Church, 8071 S.State Road will host Christmas Memories, with the music of Ron Elrod and Grace Baxter. A free will offering will be received following the show. Details: 810-636-2444 or www.goodrichumc.org

Casino/Brenda Lee

At 10 a.m., Dec. 13, a trip to Soaring Eagle Casino/Brenda Lee trip will leave the Edna Burton Center. Cost $30 per person (this includes the driver tip and Brenda Lee tickets). Receive $25 back from the casino. Details: 248-627-6447 or Faye at 248-627-6041.


The Brandon latchkey program is now enrolling for the 2010-2011 school year. The program offers care between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Daily activities and crafts are offered, as well as family discounts.
