U.S. Army Specialist Abraham Beebe, a 2007 graduate of Brandon High School, is currently stationed in Kirkuk, Iraq at the Forward Operating Base Warrior. He is serving as a military police officer with the First Infantry Division. Beebe, 21, deployed from Fort Riley, Kansas in October for a 15-month tour of duty in Iraq. He joined the National Guard in April 2008 and began serving in the Army this past July.

Beebe misses his family, which includes his wife Nicole (Longan) Beebe, his parents, Russell and Cindy Beebe of Brandon Township, brothers, Benjamin, Jacob, and Nathan, as well as his nephew, Nicolas.

U.S. Army PFC Jacob Beebe, a 2009 Brandon High School graduate, is currently stationed at the Forward Operating Base Farah in Herat, Afghanistan. He has been serving as the gunner on a Humvee there since July and celebrated his 19th birthday in Afghanistan. Early in their deployment, his unit earned their combat action badges. His unit adopted a mutilated stray dog upon arrival. They named him Cujo and have nursed him back to health.

Beebe's family includes parents Russell and Cindy Beebe of Brandon Township, brothers, Benjamin, Abraham, and Nathan, and nephew Nicolas.

Nathan says his brother misses his family and days off.

"He has told me there are days when he just doesn't want to go out there and be shot at," Nathan said.
