Three booters make OAA team

December 15, 2010 - The boys varsity soccer team might have finished the season with a sub.500 winning percentage, but it didn't stop opposing coaches from noticing that Oxford had some talent.

Three Wildcats were named to the Oakland Activities Association's All-League team and three were selected on the All-District team.

Selected for the OAA All-League team was junior Alex Juntti, junior Michael Kitchner and senior Matt Frisch, who was named team most valuable player. Juntti was also named to the first team all district, while seniors Connor Risinger and Christian Lopez were all district honorable mention.

Senior Daniel Peck was named to the All-Area team, which includes players from schools in Auburn Hills, Clarkston, Lake Orion, Rochester, Rochester Hills and Tory.

Seven players were also named to the OAA All-Academic team, which features players who have at least a 3.5 grade point average.

They include sophomore Jacob Wysocki, Juntti, junior Doug Klimbal, junior Marshall Versteeg, senior Jesse Kolean, Peck and senior Kevin Rein.
