December 29, 2010 - Independence Township approved the 2011 contract with Oakland County Sheriff Office, voting 5-2.
Trustees David Lohmeier and Mark Petterson voted against the contract. The contract supplies 27.5 officers at Oakland County Sheriff's Independence Township substation, at a cost of approximately $133,000.
