February 16, 2011 - The Lake Orion Varsity Hockey team defeated Marquette on Wednesday, Feb. 9 by the score of 3-2.

Dylan Rosen ripped a slap shot over the net and the rebound bounced out to Andrew Vanek who found a small opening to put the green and white in the lead.

Marquette tied it up in the third when a wrist shot from the point took a fortuitous bounce into the net. The winning goal came when Danny Blascak skated in on the net and took a shot. Shane Stockwell grabbed the rebound and slammed it home to complete the scoring.

The Dragons out shot Marquette 29-22 and Shawn Horton made some key saves to give the squad a chance to win.
