SYNOPSIS, REGULAR MEETING WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 23, 2011

ORION TOWNSHIP HALL

Called meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

All Members present.

Pledge, Supervisor Matthew Gibb. Invocation, Chris Barnett.

Approved payment of bills in the amount of $476,454.10 and payrolls of $92,925.58.

Total disbursement of funds of $569,379.68.

Approved Agenda, as amended. Approved Consent Agenda, as amended.

Approved Minutes, Regular Meeting, Monday, January 18, 2011.

Approved Minutes, Regular Meeting, Monday, February 7, 2011.

Received and filed Notice of Solicitation: Clean Water Action.

Appointed John Konopaski as a regular member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee for a term expiring 12-31-2013.

Adopted Environmental Resources Committee Bylaws.

Accepted Ron Zilka's resignation from Planning Commission, with regret, and appointed Chris Barnett to fill the remainder of term, expiring 12-31-2012.

Scheduled a public hearing for CDBG Reprogramming for Monday, March 21, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.

Authorized the Supervisor to extend the Fertilization Contract with Davey Tree for 2011 for an estimated cost of $19,780.00.

Heard Citizen Request to Address the Board regarding Demo of Existing Fire Station #3.

Authorized Supervisor to execute the Tri-Party Project Cost Participation Agreement for Scripps Road project at a cost not to exceed $29,166.00.

Approved Outdoor Assembly License Request for Canterbury Village Derby Day 5K Dash and adopted the Street Closure Resolution.

Awarded contract for Demolition of Existing Fire Station #3 to LR Mullins in an amount not to exceed $10,500.

No action taken regarding Township Hall Flagpole Proposal.

Approved request for an Outdoor Assembly License from Premier Self Storage for their "Going Green" Recycling Event on Thursday, May 19, 2011.

Authorized the Operations Director to place a revised mowing contract out for bid for 2011-2012.

Referred the proposed Sign Ordinance amendments to the Planning Commission for review.

No action taken on fire suppression recommendations at Friendship Park.

Executive Session was held from 9:06 p.m. to 9:26 p.m.

Meeting Adjourned at 9:26 p.m.
