March 09, 2011 - Team RUSH finished 12th out of 38 in the qualifying rounds and sixth in the playoffs, March 4-5 at the Michigan FIRST Robotics District Event at Kettering University in Flint.

The team won the Entrepreneurial award through its organizational skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to achieving goals, but not the Chairman's award, said Kyle Hughes.

"The team was very disappointed but will be back next year even stronger," Hughes said. "Someday we will be world champions. In the meantime, we will continue to do what we do, which is to try to inspire the world to explore math, science and technology."

The game this year involves inner-tubes, circles, triangles and squares. Six robots compete at once, racing on the field to place the tubes on rungs of various heights for points.
