Girls' Lacrosse win and lose

March 30, 2011 - On Thursday March 24, the LOHS Girls' Varsity Lacrosse team traveled to Lahser HS for a game against Bloomfield United to open their 2011 season.
The Varsity girls were defeated by Bloomfield United by a score of 18-5.
Nicole Blovet and Jessica Smude scored twice for LO, while Ronnie Booth contributed a goal and an assist. Tiffanny Smrtnik and Beth Giguere combined to stop 14 shots on goal.
The Lady Dragons played again Monday, March 28, against Lakeland-Huron Valley.
The Varsity girls won a close 9-8 game.
Senior captain Ronnie Booth scored 3 goals, while Paige Hammerl scored twice and added an assist. Jessica Smude scored 2 goals, while Nicole Blovet and Carlly Brooks tallied one goal each. Brooks also had an assist. Sophomore goalie Beth Giguere stopped 8 Huron Valley shots on goal.
