April 06, 2011 - The lights dimmed as Pine Knob Elementary third-graders grabbed their books, flashlights and blankets.
They found a spot in one of the tents and relaxed into a comfortable position before opening their books.
It was the end of their "Read S'More" focused on a camping theme on Thursday, the last day of March is Reading Month.
The students designed T-shirts based on their favorite books and participated in camping activities during the day.
The ended the day writing postcards to their parents about their camping adventure.
