Girls Soccer

April 20, 2011 - Lady Kickers fought tough against their Lake Orion foes on April 12, ending the game in a 1-1 tie.

Junior Lisa Lyons scored the goal with 6:52 to go in the game to give the girls their first goal for the season.

Lake Orion scored 12 minutes into the second half from Maddie Hutchinson's shot.

The Wolves tying goal also kept the Lady Dragons from their first win, giving the team a 0-2-1 record.

Goalie Katie Miller made two saves for Clarkston and the Wolves finished with four shots on the net.

The girls followed it with a 6-0 loss to Rochester Adams last Thursday. Merlin Beckwith led the Lady Highlanders with three goals. Miller had four saves for the night and Clarkston had one shot on goal.

The girls head to Berkley on Wednesday seeking their first win, to improve their record from 0-2-2 and host Waterford Kettering, Monday night at 7 p.m.

The Girls Soccer Program will host Youth Soccer Night on April 29.
