Called meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
All Members present.
Pledge, Supervisor Matthew Gibb. Invocation, Clerk Penny Shults.
Proclamations: Mental Health Month, Building Safety Month, and Municipal Clerk's Week.
Received and filed Treasurer's Quarterly Report.
Approved payment of bills in the amount of $1,857,653.47 and payrolls of $99,300.16. Total disbursement of funds of $1,956,953.63.
Approved Agenda, as amended. Approved Consent Agenda, as amended.
Adopted Resolution Allowing Temporary Street Closure for Wellsley Court.
Approved Outdoor Assembly License Application: Unity Church Science, Health & Spirituality Festival, subject to Fire Department and Building Department reviews.
Petitioner Richard Soens withdrew Peddler's & Solicitors License Application: Windshield Chip Repair.
Authorized Supervisor to sign the 2011 Marine Patrol Services Agreement for services on Lake Orion and Voorheis Lake for an amount not to exceed $15,000.
Supervisor Gibb postponed submitting his written statement of resignation until a later date.
Scheduled Special Meetings: 7:00 p.m. - May 4, 2011 – Supervisor Replacement Procedure, General Policy Amendments Orion Center & Wildwood, Eagle Valley Landfill 7:00 p.m. - Thursday, May 19, 2011 – Supervisor Replacement, General Policy Amendments Orion Center & Wildwood
Denied Request to Sell Concessions at Friendship Park: Chris & Regina Thronson, Swirlz Frozen Custard.
Approved employee transfer of Kristine Sullivan from Clerk, Public Works to Clerk, Building Department and Renee Anderson from Accounting Clerk I to Clerk, Parks & Recreation.
Denied reclassification of Office Coordinator – Public Works from Level 5 to Level 6.
Postponed Action for Request for Transfer of Class C Liquor License and new Dance/Entertainment Agreement: Hamlin Pub.
Requested a joint meeting with the Planning Commission to discuss PC-2011-03, Text & Map Amendment to Ord. 78, Lapeer Rd. Overlay District.
Authorized Supervisor to prepare and submit a rezoning application for properties located within the proposed PC-2011-04, Text & Map Amendment to Ord. 78, Gingellville Overlay District.
Held First Reading for Amendment to Ord. 132, Parks & Recreation and directed the Clerk to advertise for second reading and possible adoption at the May 16, 2011 Board meeting.
Denied Peddler's & Solicitors License Application: Donald Bone Windshield Chip Repair.
Supervisor Gibb presented information regarding the proposed Eagle Valley Landfill Expansion Agreement and public comment was heard.
