At 9 a.m., May 27, The Citizen, 12 South St., will host a coffee hour. The public is invited to attend and enjoy treats and conversation. Donations for OCEF will be accepted. Details: 248-627-4332.

If you are a resident of the Goodrich or Ortonville area graduating from a high school other than Brandon or Goodrich and wish to be included in The Citizen's 2011 graduation edition, please send your information and a graduation photo to The Citizen, 12 South St., Ortonville, MI 48462 prior to May 23. Hickory Pond

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 4, Girl Scout Troop 31 will host the sixth annual Hickory Pond family fun day and fishing derby for special needs children and families in the Goodrich area.

Every child at the event will receive a free goodie bag provided by the event's local and national sponsors. All bait will be provided and lots of helpers will be on hand.

You need not attend Goodrich schools, but please, families with a special needs member only. A parent or guardian must accompany all children.Girl Scout Troop 31 has a strong commitment to the community and is proud to host a memorable day of fishing and fun for the kids and their families. Families with any special needs are encouraged to RSVP 248-245-1798 or email
