May 25, 2011 - The Lake Orion Girls' Varsity Soccer team played three games in the past week and broke even to finish their regular season 6-7-3.

First, against Rochester on May 17, the Dragons fell 3-0. Head Coach Ken Snage said despite the loss, a number of players played really well.

"Seniors Alyssa Wesley, Megan Malloy both played excellent, especially in the early game, and Junior Jessica Pfister has been nothing but dynamite as a back for us all season," said Snage. "It just came down to Rochester having a few good breaks on us, they made good on it, and that's just how this league goes."

The Lady Dragons played again on May 18 against Holly, playing in the rain and beating the team 5-3.

Malloy scored two goals from distance, while Wesley, Shannon Inglis, and Calin Nylen brought in the other three goals.

The final game, played on May 20 against Bloomfield Hills Andover was a make-up game, and ended 0-0.

Snage said the game "should have been a 3-0 game, but we had three shots that just bounced the wrong way off the goal posts.

The Lady Dragons played Tuesday against Groves High School and will play again Thursday against L'Anse Creuse High School.
