June 01, 2011 - The unfettered free market in all its capitalistic glory was operating full steam in the Clear Lake Elementary cafeteria last week as the school's fourth-graders conducted an Economics Fair.

Students made, displayed, marketed and sold their own products to their classmates.

A variety of merchandise was featured including marshmallow shooters, hair accessories, wooden ninja action figures, decorated rocks, book marks and jewelry.

Profits were made, consumers were satisfied and best of all, no one was taxed or regulated. – Editor C.J. Carnacchio
