At 7 p.m., June 16 at the Old Town Hall, 486 Mill St., Ortonville, the Lakes Huff & Louise Homeowners Association will be hosting their annual meeting. All lakefront residents and property owners are invited attend. The election of officers for the new year will also take place. From 6-8 p.m. June 5, the Brandon High School Community Service Club will host a spaghetti dinner at HIllside Bible Church 173 Church St., Ortonville as a fundraiser for their Relay for Life team. BB&E June 17
Every Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., starting June 17 and running through Sept. 2, the sixth annual Beets, Beats & Eats farmers market will be held in Crossman Park. There will be dinner served from vendors while live musicians are playing. There are nightly free raffles and everyone is eligible. Local vendors, artists and farmers are invited and encouraged to participate. Interested in donating prizes for the free raffle, call 248-240-0907.
Scheduled power outage
From 11:55 p.m. -7 a.m., June 12 several Consumer's Energy customers located within Atlas Township may be impacted by a scheduled work project resulting in electric service outage/interruption.
According to a statement from Consumer's Energy officicals, "For the safety of our crews, we have scheduled work that requires us to turn off your electricity on the date and time shown on the front side of this card. You may want to keep a flashlight and battery-operated clock handy. We apologize for this inconvenience. If we are unable to complete this work due to bad weather or other reasons, we'll reschedule this work on an alternate date, if practical, also shown on the front of this card."
If Consumer's Energy is unable to perform the work on that day they will reschedule for June 18, same time period. The estimate of customers this will impact is 2,623. Consumers Energy Company 1-800-477-5050. "
