Valley Tent Rental eyes former golf store

June 01, 2011 - Valley Tent Rental may soon be located in Atlas Township. The local business is considering a 12 acre parcel and building near the intersection of M-15 and Hill Road.
Rick Misek, Atlas Township Planning Commission director said the change in zoning, from a driving range to a retail outlet, was approved at the May meeting.
The property and building at 10280 Hill Road, which was once McCarty's Golf Center, is expected to be a showroom for party supplies said Jeff Valley, owner of Valley Tent Rental.
"We should be in there in mid-June," said Valley who started the business about 15 years ago.
"We've been a home-based business and we've expanded to the point where we need more room."
The business features bounce houses, tents, party planning and other equipment.
