Learn to swim,
break record

June 08, 2011 - Deer Lake Beach lifeguards lead local swimmers in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson, 11 a.m., June 14.
Swimmers around the world will participate in the effort to break a Guinness World Record, and spread the word that Swim Lessons Save Lives.
The 45-minute basic, beginner lesson will be offered along with an intermediate and advanced lesson. Registration is free, all ages welcome. To register, email ekuhta@twp.independence.mi.us.
