The Charter Township of Orion Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Orion Township Hall, 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, Michigan 48360, on the following matter:

AB-2011-12, Adam J. Hayford, 706 W. Clarkston Road, Sidwell #09-10-426-093

The petitioner is seeking relief from Zoning Ordinance No. 78, Article XXVII, Section 27.02, A,4, and Section 27.05, H, 2, Requesting a 10-foot rear yard setback variance (north side), a 35-foot front yard setback variance (east side), and a 10-foot side yard setback variance (west side), in order to install a 6-foot in height privacy fence on the north, west, and east lot lines (zero setback).

You may send correspondence regarding this case to the Orion Township Hall, addressed to the Zoning Board of Appeals, or you may attend the public hearing to express your views and/or concerns.

A complete copy of the proposed ZBA application is on file in the Building Department Office and may be examined during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, until the date of the public hearing.

The petitioner is seeking relief from Sign Ordinance No. 138, Section 8,D, Industrial Park (IP) Zoning District, Monument Ground Sign, Road Right-of-Way Setback, Requesting a 28-foot variance from the required 25-foot road right-of-way setback to install a ground sign three feet within the road right-of-way.

The Petitioner is seeking relief from Zoning Ordinance No. 78, Article XIV, Section 14.05,A, Requesting a 30-foot variance from the required 30-foot front yard setback to construct a deck for an outdoor cafe on the front of the building with zero front yard setback.
