June 08, 2011 - Monday, June 6 - While on patrol, Oakland County Sheriff's saw a vehicle parked behind a building on S. Lapeer Rd. The deputy found the vehicle occupied with the driver laying back with his eyes closed. When questioned by the officer, the driver said he ran out of gas, but when asked to start the vehicle, the gas gauge showed a quarter-tank left. The driver left heading north on Lapeer Rd.

*A single car accident occurred on S. Lapeer Rd. after an 18-year-old female driver lost control of her vehicle due to her seeing a spider on her while driving. She struck the embankment and rolled the vehicle over.

Sunday, June 5 - OCSO responded to a scene of a disorderly and intoxicated male on Brabb Rd. The male was lying in the sidewalk bleeding from his head. He smelled of intoxicants and his speech was slurred, and was screaming and punching the sidewalk. The man was issued an appearance ticket for disorderly conduct and was taken to POH for treatment.

Saturday, June 4 - A suspicious circumstance was reported on N. Lapeer Rd after a man pulled into the reporting person's driveway and fired a gun towards a pond that was filled with ducks. The RP did not know where the projectile went, but did tell officers no ducks appeared to be hit.

*Larceny of $66.58 worth of gas from a station on S. Washington. The suspect would later come back and pay.

*A caller reported hearing a woman scream for help from the third floor apartments on Crawford St.

Friday, June 3 - Police received a report of a missing foster child on Oakmont.

*Police received a report of an assault on Lafayette. The responsible was reported to have assaulted a man before leaving and heading towards an address on Pleasant St.

Thursday, June 2 - Oakland County Sheriff's investigated a case of two girls finding bones in a ravine on N. Oxford Rd near Tower. Deputies were not clear if they were human or animal, so they called a forensic analyst to check them out. They were still waiting on the results.

Wednesday, June 1 - OCSD was involved in a high speed chase with a motorcycle. The chase began on Lakeville Rd. when the driver of the motorcycle wouldn't stop for a taillight being out. The chase would go through the Oxford Lakes subdivision and onto E. Drahner before the deputy lost the vehicle when it turned onto Hosner. However, the deputy was able to call in the license plate and discovered the driver had open traffic warrants for his arrests out of Flint and Detroit. The next day, deputies were able to track the suspected driver to a residence in Brandon Twp., questioning him at the Oxford substation about the previous evening's chase. After refusing to answer questions, the man was arrested on the outstanding warrants and for being a suspect in the police chase and placed in Oakland County Jail.

Tuesday, May 31 - Some juveniles were reported to have stolen between $70-$100 from a cash register at a store on S. Washington. The juveniles took the money when the owner of the store stepped outside for a minute. The money was later returned. The individual who returned the money was cited and released, while the other juveniles were advised and released.
