June 29, 2011 - Kids love parks. Kids loves stories. Kids loves cookies.

Put them all together and you've got one very popular weekly event put on by the fine friendly folks at the Oxford Public Library.

It's called "Storytime in the Park" and it happens every Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Centennial Park from now until July 26.

The 45-minute program generally consists of three children's stories and some fun songs with which to sing along and perhaps even dance.

At the end of the program, the kids are treated to delicious sugar cookies prepared by downtown's famous Sweet & Savory Bake Shop.

Bring a lunch, bring a blanket, bring a chair, but don't forget to bring your youngsters to this fun family program.

For more information, please call the library at (248) 628-3034 or visit on-line at www.oxford.lib.mi.us.
