The Charter Township of Orion Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Orion Township Hall, 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, Michigan 48360, on the following matter:

AB-2011-11, Leoni Engineering Products and Services, Inc. Sign, 100 Kay Industrial Drive, Sidwell #09-35-400-043

The petitioner is seeking relief from Sign Ordinance No. 138, Section 8,D, Industrial Park (IP) Zoning District, Monument Ground Sign, Road Right-of-Way Setback, Requesting a 25-foot variance from the required 25-foot road right-of-way setback to install a ground sign with zero setback from the road right-of-way.

AB-2011-15, John and Valerie LeTendre, 4138 Villager Drive, Sidwell #09-36-101-013

The Petitioner is seeking two variances from Zoning Ordinance No. 78, Article XXVII:

1. Section 27.02, A, 8, Lot Size to 1 acre, Maximum Floor Area of Attached Accessory Buildings Requesting a 3% variance in Maximum Floor Area of Attached Accessory Buildings, over the allowed 75%, to construct an attached garage addition resulting in the Maximum Floor Area of Attached Accessory Buildings equaling 78% of the principal structure.

2. Section 27.02, A, 8, Lot Size to 1 acre, Total Maximum Floor Area of All Accessory Buildings Requesting a 279.25-square foot variance, over the allowed 1,300 square feet in Total Maximum Floor Area Of All Accessory Buildings, to construct an attached garage addition resulting in the Total Maximum Floor Area Of All Accessory Buildings equaling 1,579.25 square feet.

The Petitioner is requesting a one-year temporary use permit, per Zoning Ordinance No. 78, Section 30.11, F, to allow seasonal merchandise to be displayed on the sidewalks in front of the building.
