July 13, 2011 - Coffee hour

Obsessive coupon disorder

At 6 p.m., July 28, the Edna Burton Senior Center, 345 Ball St., Ortonville will host an informative class from Obsessive Coupon Disorder. The cost is $20. Price includes one month free to their website, access to six store deals, OCD reusable bag and member packet. Must pre-pay and pre-register at ocdsavingsclub.com using paypal or credit. Farmers Market

From 3-7 p.m. Thursdays the Goodrich Farm Market will be open in the Goodrich Commons Park. Vendors should call 810-636-2570.


From 6-9 p.m., July 22, Beets, Beats and Eats, Crossman Park, Ortonville. Theme will be sustainable living. Dinner is hosted by the Ortonville United Methodist Men.

The Edna Burton Senior Center, 345 Ball St., Ortonville will host an ongoing fundraiser to collect reusable products.

Products include cookie packages; spread containers; ink cartridges; old cell phones; cheese wrappers; solo cups; Zip-Loc type bags/containers; paper products; plastic wrappers; candy wrappers/packages; yogurt containers; chipbags; computer parts; batteries; pesonal care; beauty supplies. Items can be dropped off at the senior center by piece or boxful. Arrangements can be made to pick the products up at your home. Details: 248-627-6447.

Challenge Cup

On Aug. 6, the Goodrich Country Club, 10080 Hegel Road, Goodrich will host the second annual Brandon Township Parks & Recreation Challenge Cup golf outing. Each eight member team competes for their names to be engraved on the trophy. The deadline is July 6. All proceeds will benefit the playground area at Sherman Village Park. Sundaes on Sunday

From 1-3 p.m., July 24 in Crossman Park, Cook's Farm Dairy ice cream super sundaes will be featured at Sundaes on Sunday with Santa. Bring one unwrapped, new toy per person for toys for Christmas distribution for needy children in the Brandon School District. All toys are for the Community Christmas Toy Store.
