Hawk rescue

July 20, 2011 - Jim Brueck and his family were at the lake by their Clarkston home when they noticed something in the tire bumper along the dock – a young male red-tailed hawk.
Brueck rescued it and brought it to shore.
"I have always stated that a riparian zone is one of the most bio-diverse habitats on Earth," he said. "I never expected to find a hawk there. I was able to contact a raptor rehabilitation site and I took the hawk to them for nurturing."
