September 07, 2011 - Summer came to a definitive end as crowds gathered under umbrellas and blankets for Clarkston's Labor Day Parade, Sept. 5.

Sponsored by the Clarkston Rotary Club, the parade featured Karen Newman, voice of the Detroit Red Wings, singing the National Anthem.

Community organizations, businesses, musical groups, bands, dancers, fire engines, and other groups marched down Main Street under a dark but mostly rain-free sky.
