Swimmers took second place at Saturday's 1st annual "Clash of the Underclassmen" hosted by Waterford United Swimming and Diving team. First place was Farmington Mercy.

Freshmen Danielle Kudla finished 1st in the 50 and 100 Freestyle, Bethanny Abramczyc finished 2nd in both 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke and freshmen Lydia Mattar finsihed 2nd in the 200 IM and 100 bresaststroke.

The Dragons also finished first in the 200 Free Relay with the team of Paige Munro (10), Rebecca Roughton (9), Kara Calvert (9) and Erika Kevnick (10) and the 400 Free Relay with the team of Bethany Abramczyc (9), Kara Calvert (9), Lydia Mattar (9) and Danielle Kudla (9).

Other swimmers that helped secure second place were freshmen Kara Calvert, Rachel Cullon, Rebecca Roughton and Sophomores Shayna Benbow, Aimee Ginez, Ericka Kevnick, Madelyn Hartzell, Paige Munro, and Jessica Walukonis

Lake Orion High School is hosting the 2011 Swimming and Diving Oakland County Championships beginning Friday at 6 p.m. with all diving and swimming competition to be held on Saturday, Oct. 1 starting at noon. Both events will be held at the Lake Orion High School Natatorium.
