Thursday Service
Occurring Each Thursday Beginning Thursday, June 20, 2013 Through Thursday, December 19, 2013.
Clarkston Free Methodist Church (FMC) is launching a Thursday Service at 6:30pm starting March 21st, and continuing through the summer and fall. The new service is aimed at a different group of people than typically attend on a Sunday morning, including the 20-30 something’s, individuals and families that enjoy different worship styles, and people who cannot attend church on a Sunday whether due to traveling or working third shift. The service will include childcare, kids classes, and teens are encouraged to attend service When asked about the new service, Krista Back said, “One of the biggest needs in the global ‘church’ is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for people with different backgrounds, styles, and preferences to explore questions they may have, and encounter Christ in a perpetually creative way. Our goal is to keep the Thursday Service new, creative, and different, but truly have a conversation about who Christ is and is not, what did He say, and how does it apply to our lives today. Our purpose is to answer questions, not try and make people look and think like us.”
