Next Tuesday, August 3, voters across the state will head to the polls for the state's Primary Election. Voters will be asked to select candidates to run for their respective parties in the November General Election. Locally, there are also a number of ballot questions.

Polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at all precincts at 8 p.m.

County residents will also be asked to approve a parks and recreation millage renewal. The renewal is for .2415 mills, lasting for 10 years.

Voters will be asked to select candidates for governor, US Congress, Michigan state senate and house of representatives. They will also chose candidates for county commissioner and select a person for judgeship on the county's probate court.

The Leader will announce, next Wednesday, local vote tallies.
