Creeping down the stairs to see if her Hippo Heroes are standing there.
The event kicked off with some yuletide tunes performed by select orchestra students under the brilliant direction of Tom Matteson.
Following the strings were the sweet vocal stylings of the Super Singers, a group of talented fourth and fifth-graders who never fail to shine thanks to teacher Peggy Mueller.
In addition to Christmas songs, the Super Singers performed tunes celebrating Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.
Clear Lake's staff joined in the fun by putting on their usual wacky holiday play.
The event concluded with a school-wide sing-along that brought the house down.
