One of the most prestigious choirs in the state of Michigan has selected four Brandon High School students to be members. The MSVMA All-State Honors Choir represents the top 120 students in Michigan to make up one of the best choirs in the state. "Students selected for All-State Choir receive the highest scores at the State auditions," said Deborah Wolfe-Sebetic, the Brandon High School Choir director. With four students selected, Brandon is ranked fifth in the state in terms of the number of students represented in the MSVMA Honors choir.

The Brandon High School students selected, Nicole Ladd, Matt Yettaw, Shardae Rudel and Kayla Baskin, went through a number of auditions and programs in order to be considered for the spots in the choir. They all participate in Show Choir and have been in choir groups that have recieved Division One ratings at Solo and Ensemble.

Shardae Rudel, a senior, has recived a Division One rating for her solo performances at Solo and Ensemble six years in a row, at both the District and State levels. Matt Yettaw has been involved in State Honors Choir for six years. "Both of these students' accomplishments are a first for Brandon," said Wolfe-Sebetic.

Ladd, Yettaw, Rudel, and Baskin will perform with the All-State Honors Choir at the 49th annual Michigan Youth Arts Festival on May 14, held at Western Michigan Unviersity.
