Memorial Day Parade

June 01, 2011

Parker barnes danced around the marching band while his sister, Lucy, collected pieces of candy.
Even though the temperature was scorching, reaching almost 90 degrees, it didn't stop the enjoyable festivities of Lake Orion's downtown Memorial Day festivities.

Multiple families came to wave flags and collect candy, as well as show off their pride. Even the dogs dressed up in red, white, and blue.

Keeping things upbeat was the marching band, which touted an impressive array of music. On the more emotional side, the ceremonial throwing of the wreath gave event-goers an appreciation for veterans.

Yet good times were had by all, and the wreath saw to it that even the ducks had company.
