Motorist hits cyclist, 13, crossing N. Mill St.

A 13-year-old Oxford boy was taken to the hospital Tuesday, July 26 after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his tricycle.

The victim was crossing N. Mill St from the west to east side when he was hit by a 2010 GMC vehicle driven by a 66-year-old Metamora woman.

According to the village police report, the driver was northbound on Mill St. when she crossed E. Burdick St. and struck the boy.

The boy was treated at the scene by Oxford paramedics, then transported to the POH Regional Medical Center in Pontiac.

Police cited the driver for failing to yield to a pedestrian. Editor C.J. Carnacchio
