Remove ImagesLaugh & Dash’ to benefit dog rescue September 28, 2011 The Oxford High School Theater Company is conducting its annual "Laugh & Dash" event on Sunday, Oct. 9 in downtown Oxford's Centennial Park. For a $25 fee, folks are invited to participate in either a 5-kilometer run or 1-mile walk. For $10, kids can walk a quarter-mile event and receive a medal. Profits will benefit the K-9 Stray Rescue League, which is located at 2120 Metamora Rd. in Oxford Township. During the "Laugh & Dash," the rescue group will host a dog adoption in the park from 12-4 p.m. Runner and walker registration is from 12-12:30 p.m. At 1 p.m., the runners will begin their route, followed by the walkers at 1:45 p.m. Dogs are welcome on the walk. A competitive improvisation show will take place at 2 p.m. followed by a presentation and raffle at 3 p.m. For those who wish to preregister for this event, checks should be made payable to Oxford High School and mailed to OHS, Attention: Debra Brown, 745 N.
