Runners celebrate milestone

Wolfpack Running Club commemorate 30 years with a run.
The Wolfpack Running Club celebrated its 30-year anniversary, Sept. 24, at Depot Park with a 5K run followed by refreshments and recognitions.

The morning event was followed by an evening dinner at Deer Lake Racquet Club.

"The 5K in the morning couldn't have been better – even the weather was fantastic," said club member Paul Garko. "The dinner gathering was wonderful. It was a special evening of memories and of commemorating the camaraderie that comes with our shared passion for long distance running."

The club gathers each Saturday at 8 a.m. at Depot Park to run.
