Spooky time at the fire hall

Kids and parents had a ghoulishly good time Saturday evening at Addison Fire Station #2 as the firefighters transformed their facility into a haunted house full of spooky activities and frightful fun.

The kids got to decorate pumpkins, bob for crispy apples, navigate their way through a smoke-filled maze and dip their hands in some buckets filled with assorted parts such as intestines, brains and tongues. Gross!

Ah, to be young again.

Hats off to Addison firefighters for thinking outside the box when it came to this year's open house. – CJC
