Brandon Twp.- Mark your calendars now for the 2011 Annual Business Expo, set for 5-8 p.m., Nov. 17, at the Brandon High School cafeteria, 1025 S. Ortonville Road.

The public is invited to the family-friendly event sponsored by the Greater Ortonville Area Chamber of Commerce. Admission is free and activities for kids include face-painting, a clown, and a bouncehouse (weather permitting). Free samples, product give-aways, and door prizes add to the fun for everyone.

The purpose of the expo is to acquaint local residents with businesses in the area.

"This is your chance to meet the local businesses," said Lisa Dwyer, Chamber president and branch manager of National Home Lending. "Maybe you will find a business you didn't even know was in the area."

Vendors registered for the event include Dr. David Regiani, DDS, National Home Lending, The Citizen newspaper, Clarkston State Bank, Frank VandePutte (wood floor specialist), Bullfrogs Restaurant, Creative Memories consultant Susan Reddy, Paramount Signs, Wellness Enhancement, Four Seasons Karate, Clarkston Brandon Community Credit Union, Ortonville DDA, Make a Difference, Custom Sales Items-Bill Gibbs, Brandon Chiropractic, Wildtree (consultant Klaudia Cisco), Pure Romance (consultant Hope Erbert), Pampered Chef (consultant Dyanna DeLosh), Mary Kay (consultant Karen Mickle), Genisys Credit Union, Ortonville United Methodist Church, Scentsy (consultant Joy Armstrong), Devon Title Short Sale Solutions, Coats Village Funeral Home and Valley Tent Rental.

A scavenger hunt open to everyone adds to the fun. While browsing businesses with a scavenger hunt form and expo map, participants will receive clues and all forms completed with correct answers will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card.

Expo attendees will also want to arrive as early as possible as several door prizes will be given away throughout each hour of the expo, just for registering. Each business donates a raffle gift with a minimum value of $25 to give away.

Businesses will also offer products for sale at a discounted show price, Bullfrogs will have free food samples, and bags are given out to attendees to collect free goodies from businesses.
