Independence Township Board voted 4-1 for Parks and Recreation to purchase a new tractor with a front-end loader from Carleton Equipment for approximately $16,000. Trustee Mark Petterson voted "no." The tractor is to replace the Ford 1910 tractor that went missing in 2010.
