The Clarkston Boys Varsity Lacrosse A team opened the season with a win over Orchard Lake St. Mary's, March 27.

They beat the home team, 10-5. Kevin O' Grady led the team with three goals and two assists.

Jordan Kincaid had two goals and one assist and Mike VanderWeel scored two goals and had two assists.

Travis Craft, Reid Kaminski, and Brad Leuenhagen had one goal each.

Adam Gohl had 10 saves in the net and the defensive team of Evan Kneisel, AJ Schlaff, Ethan Frick and Nick Demattia had a combined total of 11 turnovers.

The varsity lacrosse B team lost their game against Walled Lake Central last Thursday, 9-8. Austin Egler and Cooper Parks led the team with two goals each.

The Clarkston Girls Varsity Soccer team opened last week with a tie against Berkley, March 27.

After Berkley scored in the second half, Lisa Lyons tied the score with her own goal with an assist from teammate Lindsey Adams. Katie Miller had three saves and the Lady Wolves made six shots on the net.

They lost to Royal Oak on Thursday, 2-1, putting their record at 0-2-1.

Clarkston is on spring break and will return next Tuesday. The Girls JV and varsity soccer teams are at Andover High School, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the track teams compete at home against Rochester Adams, 4:30 p.m.
