OES gets healthy!

Oxford Elementary students took a break last week from their usual studies to a receive a high-energy lesson in healthy living.

Representatives from Powerhouse Gym in Orion Township visited the school to talk about the importance of eating nutritious, well-balanced meals, engaging in some sort of physical activity on a daily basis and drinking plenty of water as opposed to soda pop.

After the lesson, the students got the opportunity to test their strength in a class-versus-class, tug-of-war tournament.
