Shred day

Community Shred Day, during which residents can bring their documents to be safely disposed of, will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., April 22, at the Brandon Township Library, 304 South St. The event is free as the Clarkston Brandon Community Credit Union and Downtown Development Authority celebrate Money Smart Week. Superintendent forum

From 11 noon (PTO/parents) and 1 2 p.m. (Community members/business owners) on April 19, the Goodrich Area Schools Board of Education along with the Michigan Leadership Institute will host a focus group at GHS Performing Arts

Center 8029 S. Gale Road to communicate the qualifications, characteristics, and skills they perceive are important for the position of superintendent.

Golf fundraiser

From 4:30 p.m.-10 p.m., April 25, the Goodrich Golf team will be waiting tables at John's Steakhouse, 8038 S. State Road, Goodrich. Proceeds are for the team. Details: 810-516-5565.

Earth Day-Goodrich

At 9 a.m., April 21, the Goodrich/Atlas Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating Earth Day with the fourth annual community cleanup. Those interested should meet at the Goodrich Plaza. Trash bags and vests are provided. At noon pizza and prizes will be distributed at the Goodrich United Methodist Church.

Support Our (Brandon) Library Committee

At 7 p.m., April 16 at Fire Station 2 (Sashabaw Road just South of Seymour Lake Road), volunteers are needed to work on a campaign to help restore funds to the library. Detail Lois Robbins 248-969-2518.

BHS Hall of Fame

The Brandon High School Pride Selection Committee are seeking nominations for the Brandon High School Hall of Fame. Any former student who has graduated from Brandon High School over ten years or more and has made exemplary contributions in their field of work is needed. Nomination forms can be picked up at the BHS principal's office 248-627-1822. Deadline May 2.

Oakland County will test their outdoor warning system at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 18. Don't panic.

Cemetery meeting

The Ortonville Cemetery Association will hold their annual meeting at 7 p.m., April 23 in the chapel at the cemetery. Details: 248-627-8413.
