Leader Staff Writer The Oxford Girls soccer team lost Thursday night to Clarkston 2-0. Coach Larry Ferris expressed disappintment but complemented his players for "stepping up" to the challenge. The Wildcats were short-handed, with two girls out with illness. Ferris complimented goalie Maddi Hurd who "played out of her head" with a total of five saves. He was candid in his assessment of Clarkston's highly touted strikers. he said they are "undoubtedly a good team - - but beatable." |
