PENSION PLAN ORDINANCE An Ordinance to create and maintain a pension plan for certain designated elected or full-time employees of Groveland Township. Section 2: Pursuant to Public Act 77 of 1989, as amended (MCL 41.110b), the Township of Groveland hereby creates and establishes a pension plan and program for the pensioning of certain designated elected or non-elected personnel or employees of Groveland Township and the Groveland Township Fire & Rescue Department. The Groveland Township Board adopted MERS, Municipal Employees' Retirement System of Michigan January 01, 2006 with a non-standard definition of compensation. Section 3: The Pension Plan which may be created, established and contracted for under this ordinance shall cover each person within the following classes, as amended in Section 3. Amended Section 4: (B) The employer contribution for employees enumerated in Section 3 are calculated and reported on the base wages. Section 7: This Ordinance #187shall take effect on the date of its publication. All ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
