Photo by Mary Keck From Darr's perspective, going to an agency can save eager travelers money and time. She said, it takes a lot of time and researching to plan a vacation online when "I can do it in a half an hour" and even "beat the Internet price." A travel agent can also help vacationers find answers to their questions that are often unavailable on the web, she pointed out. People from Clarkston usually have questions about beach vacations, Darr noted. She's observed locations like the Mayan Riviera in Mexico and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic are popular with locals, but she's also arranged European tours over the 20 years she's been working in the travel industry. Even though Darr's usually helping other families plan their vacations, she likes traveling too. Some of her favorite destinations are Disney World, Jamaica, and Hawaii. Just this week, she journeyed to Arizona for a travel conference. Darr, a native of Oxford, likes visiting other places, but she doesn't plan to call anywhere but Clarkston home. "I think I'll be here for a while because Clarkston is a nice little community," she said. For information, check www.clarkston-travel.com or call 248-625-0325. |
