Photo by Mary Keck Despite the cool air and occasional sprinkles, downtown Clarkston was filled with vendors serving up slabs of barbecue ribs, loaded baked potatoes, fruit smoothies, and tiramisu desserts on Sunday afternoon. On top of all the flavorful snacks available, locals who came out to the event danced to live music and enjoyed beer and wine from the Rotary and Clarkston Union's Oktoberfest tents. With over 30 booths serving food and beverages, there was something to satisfy everyone's taste buds at The Taste of Clarkston. After trying pizza, chicken strips, and ice cream, children collected balloons from Wendy of Wendy's restaurant and lined up to knock over pins with Cherry Hill Lanes' bowling. The fun didn't stop on Main Street but continued down Depot road where kids could shoot hoops, slide, and jump in bounce houses. |
