The students of Orion Oaks Elementary joined a nationwide push for peace by planting pinwheels and their thoughts about war, violence, tolerance and more.

The lawn was littered with twirling pinwheels on Sept. 21 as students went out to thier designated spots and planted their pinwheels. The movement started in Florida, but has since spread throughout the country. They are not politically motivated and assert that peace does not have to be associated with conflict or war.
