Library to get repairs

October 24, 2012

The Clarkston Independence District Library will get a new roof within 6-8 weeks. The board approved spending $71, 250 for Bloom Roofing Systems to replace the 20-year-old roof.

"The roof needs to be replaced. It's in terrible shape," said Superintendent Bart Clark.

The library's heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) units will also be repaired. HVAC ductwork and electrical box replacement will cost $98,602, and Contrast Mechanical Systems will provide the service.
