Chance to have a heart for Honduras

October 24, 2012

Almost every year I take a group of people to Honduras for one week to serve the poor. We serve through an organization called "Heart to Honduras" ( We go back into the beautiful mountain villages, where the scenery is spectacular and the poverty is grinding.

Over the years we have done dozens of projects. Last year we built a house (about the size of your bedroom) for a widow and her children.

We fed over 300 people. The year before that we painted a public school building and screened in some houses. About five years ago we started a local church in the village of Borboton. We support their pastor and send financial support throughout the year.

We plan to go again in 2013. The dates are April 6-13. We will leave on a Saturday and return on a Saturday. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO, I'd love to have you join us. Our accommodations are comfortable, the food is good, and there's nothing like riding in the back of a pickup truck high up in the mountains where you feel like you can reach up and touch the stars.

Feel free to contact me at 248-625-1323 or go to and click on the Missions tab for lots of pictures and more information.
