No sign for Everest

Everest Academy hoped to put up a 116 square foot sign advertising their school on I-75, but the Independence Township Zoning Board of Appeals did not approve their request, made on Nov. 14.
"This is a gargantuan sign, and I can't support it," said board member Jill Palulian.
The Zoning Board will meet again on Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. in Township Hall.
