John Moore of Clarkston recently bought a 1924 Ford Model T touring sedan and needed it cleaned, so he brought it to Oakland Custom Detail Service, a new business in Independence Township.

"These guys did a great job, an immaculate job," Moore said. "They really brought it back to life."

The 86-year-old car, with original paint and a hand crank that still works, can go up to 40 mph. He takes it to local car shows and downtown Clarkston.

"I take the grandkids to the park," Moore said.

Keith Patten, owner, was in the detailing business 20 years ago when started his limo company, 24/7 Limousine.

"I spend so much money on detail services, I decided to start detailing again," Patten said.
