AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT

OF THE VILLAGE OF OXFORD, OAKLAND COUNTY MICHIGAN

TO AMEND the VILLAGE OF OXFORD ZONING Ordinance ARTICLE 7-CH. 4 SIGNS #391.

Amendment to the Village of Oxford Zoning Code Article 7 Chapter 4-Signs. Ordinance Amendment # 391:

In Summary this is AN ACT within the Village to provide consistent regulation, to establish the qualifications to assure the attractiveness of the scenic, historical, aesthetic, and economic values of the Village through the adoption of signage regulations, to establish certain violations; to provide penalties for the violation of this act. The regulation of signs is necessary to enable the public to locate goods, services and facilities without difficulty and confusion, to promote traffic safety, to safeguard public health and welfare, and to facilitate police and fire protection.

A complete copy of the proposed text amendment is available at the offices of the Village Clerk, 22 W. Burdick, Oxford. This Ordinance shall become effective after adoption and 20 days after publication in accordance with the Village of Oxford Charter. This Ordinance was duly passed and adopted by the Oxford Village Council during its regular meeting held on September 24, 2013.
